Disneyland 2008

We went to Disneyland the Saturday after Christmas.
Fernando, Mari, Chris, Ana, Carlos, Eliseo, Ariel, & me.

Here we are in front of the big Christmas Tree.

Here is Ariel (only 6 months old) on the "Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage" ride. She actually rode 4 rides, this one, "Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters", "Jungle Cruise", & "Pirates of the Caribbean". I had to feed her on the last one since we were out of my breastmilk in bottles. Thankfully, we were sitting in the back of the boat and it was dark enough so no one could see.

Here we are on the Jungle Cruise. Eliseo making a silly face at the camera.

Here are the three of us sisters... (missing Elisa) :-(

This was the last ride of the evening, about 11:00 pm. I didn't get on this one. The kids were asleep in their strollers so I stayed out with them. This was the "Haunted Mansion".

The Women

Here we are on the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage ride. Ariel & Eliseo enjoyed it. Even after the ride, Eliseo kept asking me, "Where's Nemo Mama"?

Here we are on Autopia. Eliseo was in the driver's seat. Fernando & Mari's car stalled so we ended up having to push them.

Rachel and the Lion

Stephanie's Book Release Party was tonight in Pomona, CA.
The book is about a seven-year-old girl named Rachel who lives in a small African town with no running water and few cars. She has a large family and her parents work hard to create a good life, amid poverty and illness. When her mother dies from malaria, Rachel's friendship with a lion gives her strength and courage to live with her grief.
Here I am with my daughter and aunt Esther with our faces painted.

Reading this awesome book to my son. We can't wait to see how it ends.
He kept saying, "read it mommy, read it".

Stephanie read a little of the book to the many kids who were there.
My baby girl loves it.

Here is my man checking out the book.

Happy Birthday To Me

Yes folks it's another birthday for me.

Carlos took me to the Castaway in Burbank for the brunch buffet.
They have a ton of food. Omletes made right in front of you, bacon & sausage, waffles, seafood pasta, vegetable lasagna, chicken parmesan, crab legs, salmon, salad bar, fruit w/chocolate fountain, pies, cheesecake, specialty desserts, danishes, etc.

Thanksgiving 2008

Here is the bird. It came out very good. Mom and I made all the food, of course.

Here is our spread. Even though our kitchen is being remodeled, it was a great dinner.
Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, candied yams, green bean casserole, home made cranberry sauce, salad, and pumpkin cheesecake... Mmm

Dad and mom stopped by for a quick visit on their way back from visiting Louie and Elisa in Texas. Ariel loved spending time with them.

Mom made fideo for lunch. Yum!

Eliseo loved it!

Mom also made biscuits for breakfast. Juan came over to pick up Esther and had breakfast with us. We enjoyed our Sunday with our familia.

Harvest Time

It's harvest time again in sunny Selma, CA.
We went to Dad & Mom's house this weekend to pick up our son.
The grapes are almost all picked and quickly turning into the lovely Sun-Maid raisins.

A nice bunch on the vine.

Saturday morning we went to Sierra's (Cowboy's daughter) 3rd birthday party.
It was a hot day, but it was on an animal farm. There were horses, donkeys, ducks, geese, chickens, & rabbits.

There were two pinatas. Eliseo wouldn't hit it, but here is Cruz ready to bust that thing open. Sierra's mother, Kelly, let me hit it the last time when it was about to rip open. I hit it and candy flew all over the place. We told Eliseo to get the candy... he picked up one lollipop and walked away.
