Labor Day 2009

This weekend we worked on putting pavers in our side yard.

We forgot it was nap time and Ariel tried to give us a hint.

Robert & Stephanie met us too. Stephanie is due in 3 months... yay!

Mark Rocks!

This reminds me of when I got pregnant with Eliseo. The doctor called to let us know the pregnancy test was positive. The doctor said, "Do you want to be referred to an ObGyn or do you want to go the other route".
I had no idea what he meant by "the other route". So I asked, “What is the other route?”
He said, “Termination”.
I was so incredibly shocked, insulted, and extremely angry that he actually offered that. What kind of crap is that?! You don’t offer to murder someone’s baby, what the heck dude! I politely said that we wanted an ObGyn, but at the same time I wanted to reach through the phone and smack him.

August Kids

Jaxson is 5 months old, but weighs more than my 14 month old Ariel!

Gwen and Lauren are sisters. Gwen is 15 months old, but not yet walking. Lauren is 3 years old and we're trying to potty train her.

Ariel had a little accident today. She hit herself right between the eyes. I didn't see what she hit herself on, but it left a pretty good gash. She is doing well. This is a photo taken between bandaid changes. Been putting Neosporin on it. Mom suggested sugar so I'll try that and I hear Mederma is also good, don't want her to have a scar.

San Diego Supplemental Expo

Today, Carlos and I went to the Supplemental Expo at the World Gym in San Diego.

Then we stopped at the beach for a while.

Ariel is Walking

Ariel started walking yesterday. It was so funny. Eliseo yelled to me and said, "Mommy, Ariel's walking". She just got up and walked across the room. She became a pro instantly. I think she has been able to for a long time... she just didn't feel like it until yesterday (Mom's birthday).

Here are some pictures from Ariel's 1st birthday party on the 4th of July. It was so fun. Fernando & Mari, thank you so much for allowing us to gather at your house to celebrate our baby girl's first birthday. We had a very good turn out, about 30 adults and 20 kids.
